Development of Non-profit Finance Operations - Silicon Valley Conference for Community and Justice

SVCCJ was founded in 1965 as a regional office of The National Conference of Christians and Jews, dedicated to fighting bias, bigotry and racism in the South Bay Area and Northern California. SVCCJ, with support from the national conference, decide to establish itself as an independent 501c3 organization. To accomplish this goal, SVCCJ needed to establish in-house capacity and processes for the administrative tasks that had previously been performed by the national office. SVCCJ asked RCG to help develop its financial operations. This successful project included the creation of the processes and procedures for the operation of a payroll, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and bookkeeping function.

Government Budget Submission Guidance - Santa Cruz County Department of Mental Health

Like all counties in California, Santa Cruz County is preparing to implement the Mental Health Services Act, which provides dedicated funding for mental health services based on a 1% tax on taxable income over $1 million. Santa Cruz County asked RCG to help it finalize its Mental Health Services Act budget for submission to the State of California.
